Who Are We?
We are a collaboration between Georgetown (MedStar Health), Howard Universities, the Veteran Health Administration and Oakridge National Laboratory, working to educate our community about the importance of participating in clinical research. Our goal is to connect local communities with researchers, offering the opportunity to participate in studies and ensuring that community input helps shape the research activities within our institutions.
What We Do?
We connect our community with researchers and facilitate your participation in research studies across the DC, Virginia, and Maryland regions. We keep the community informed about studies currently enrolling participants, emphasize the importance of diversity in research, and provide educational resources to empower informed participation. By bridging the gap between researchers and the community, we ensure that our diverse population is well-represented in the research that shapes future healthcare.
Why it Matters?
Research drives new discoveries for common and rare illnesses that affect health and quality of life. Our mission is to support this work, to ultimately improve the health of the population.
